Very good place to get cooked Russian food and other food items and groceries. Some of the staff speak English which is helpful if you don't speak or read Russian. My wife gave me a list of things to get while I was there for her Mom and the owner helped me out and got me everything on my list. We shop here several times a month and live in Pennsylvania.

Love this Ukranian store for its jelllies, pickles (all different kinds), wonderful bread, prepared foods like borsht, cucumber salad, latkes, and dairy section with many kinds of kefir. We also like to buy Matruchka dolls there from Russia which are hard to find. The candy section is amazing (all those old school Russian candy companies.

Excellent Russian food store. Lots of prepared items including olivier salad, beet salads and freshly baked sweet breads with sour cherry fillings and sweet cheese. They also have handmade Russian raviolis and vareniki. The service is awful but it's like the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. You deal for the good stuff.

Loved it as usual. Friendly place, good people. Can't find better selection of smoked fish, cured meats and hot entries. Hot bread is excellent. Some unique varieties of canned foods and berries. Check it out.

I absolutely love this store. It's like being on vacation when I go! The produce selection isn't huge, but they have some really great buys. All of the major produce items you need are there. They also have great deals on fresh bread, smoked fish, deli meat, and various international brands of pantry staples. The chocolate and dessert selection is sinfully good...I haven't bought any of it yet, but I surely will. The customer service, as others have said, leaves something to be desired. However, I don't really care about that so much since I just pop in to buy a few things, look around, and go. 4 stars for an awesome selection of foods and cheap fresh produce.

I really want to give this place 5 stars but have to be honest. I give this place 5 stars for quality of product: Other than one other place, I don't know of any other store that has the ethnic Russian and Ukrainian food I grew up around. But the customer service leaves much to be desired. My mother and I walked in at 7:10pm on a day they closed at 8pm. The owner and employees looked at us but didnt smile when we walked in. The whole time we were there, I felt like they wanted us to leave. One of the employees went out of their way to walk up to me at 7:45pm to tell me they "closed in 5 minutes". Again I feel really badly leaving a 4-star review but I can't in honesty give this place 5 stars. Owner: Whatever your name is, please please improve your customer service. Be nice to people when they arrive. Smile. You have a great product and great location. All you need to do is make people feel welcome. I spent over $200 in groceries in half an hour. Even if I walked in at 7:59pm to buy a pack of gum, I deserve to be treated with respect. Update: I visited this place again and had a totally different (better experience). They were nice! So I'm changing to 5 stars :). Thank you International Food Market.

Ok, being a transplant from NYC where Russian food is abounded am a bit of a snob. With that being said, this place has everything you could want from Eastern European food and is probably the best in the area. I live in Columbia and make frequent trips to the store when I want something different then your typical deli meats and cheeses

This is a market, not a sit-down deli. Great source for Russian and other international products. Assorted Russian candies in bulk - take a brown paper bag and fill it with your choice. Good prices especially on cheese, dried fruits and nuts and produce. There's a limited selection of produce and it's not always of the best quality, so go elsewhere for that. Lots of imported canned and jarred goods - try the various vegetable spreads. Try also the herring in the flat plastic container near the cheeses - you'll never go back to the bottled kind (if you go in for that sort of thing). Great selection of teas and juices. Wonderful deli choices. Try piroshki with cherry filling. Or the eggplant stuffed with cheese. Their freezer has all sorts of great stuff for easy meals: blinchiki = crepes filled with meat or fruit or cheese. Fry them up in a little oil on a non-stick pan. pelmeni = dumplings filled with meat, mushrooms, etc. Boil as per the instructions vareniki = Ukrainian dumplings filled with cherries or sweet cheese. Boil per instructions Oh, and it really helps if you speak Russian there, but you can get by with smiling and pointing and ignoring Soviet-style customer service. They really are nice, it's just a cultural thing...
